Fennel Sweater by Pernille Larsen

Fennel Sweater is an oversized ribbed sweater with an extra deep V-neck where the back neckband continues around to the front where it forms the neckband on either side of the front neckline. The sweater is worked from the top down, both flat and in the round using 1 strand of Heavy Merino + 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout. Sleeves are worked in a rib pattern in the round and finished with a thin i-cord edge.
Fennel Sweater is designed with positive ease. To choose the correct size, look at the ‘to fit chest circumference’ measurements on the previous page. If your actual chest circumference is, say, 98 cm 38½”, you should choose to knit a size 2 in order to achieve the intended fit.

1 strand of Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (125 m 137 yd / 50 g 1.8 oz), worsted-weight yarn,

8 (9, 9, 10) balls 

1 strand of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225 m 246 yd / 25 g 0.9 oz), lace-weight yarn,

4 (5, 6, 6) balls.

Needles

4 mm / US6 and 5 mm / US8 circular needles in 80 cm 32” cable length,

4.5 mm / US7 double-pointed needles, or in size to obtain gauge

Gauge

(after blocking): 16 sts and 23 rows = 10 cm 4” in 4x4 rib pattern with 5 mm / US8 needles
